1. Relationship to the main Terms

This Domain Holding Agreement supplements the Foundable Terms of Service. If there is a conflict between this Agreement and the Terms for a domain registration, this Agreement controls for that domain-specific issue.

2. What Foundable does

When you confirm a domain purchase, Foundable registers the domain through Name.com, Inc. ("Name.com"), an ICANN-accredited registrar, which is the sponsoring registrar for every domain bought on Foundable. The registration is made through a Name.com account controlled by Autono Labs, Inc., and we hold it in trust for the foundable that authorized the purchase. You can look up any domain's registrar with ICANN's Registration Data Lookup Tool, or ask us.

Foundable may configure or expose DNS management tools for the domain inside the product. Foundable uses Cloudflare as the authoritative DNS provider for held domains unless we tell you otherwise. DNS is separate from the registrar of record.

3. Your authority

By confirming a domain purchase, you represent that you are authorized to act for the foundable and to request registration of the domain. You are responsible for ensuring the domain does not infringe anyone else's rights, violate law, or violate our Acceptable Use Policy.

4. Charges and renewals

Foundable charges for domains in credits. Search results show each domain's price for its first year, and the confirmation shows it again with today's renewal price. Credits are held when you buy and charged only when the registration completes; if the registrar turns the order down, they are returned.

Auto-renew is on for each domain you buy. While it is on, Foundable renews the domain for one year in the 30 days before it expires, from your credits, at that day's renewal price, which can change with the registrar's pricing. If your credits cannot cover a renewal, the domain is not renewed. You can turn Auto-renew off for any domain under Settings → Domains.

You can also renew a domain yourself at any time from its page under Settings → All domains. Renew domain adds one year from your credits at that day's renewal price, which it shows before you confirm. Registries let a domain be registered at most ten years ahead, so a renewal that would go past that waits until it fits. Credits are held when you confirm and charged only once the registry shows the new expiration date; if the registrar turns the renewal down, they are returned. Once a domain is renewed, the renewal is non-refundable.

Foundable does not renew a domain after it expires or restore one from a registry's redemption period, so it offers no post-expiration renewal or restore and charges no fee for either. A domain that is not renewed expires at the end of the period already paid for.

5. Registrar agreements and rules

Every registration is also subject to Name.com's Domain Name Registration Agreement, its Whois Privacy Service Agreement (Foundable turns WHOIS privacy on for every domain it registers), its Acceptable Use Policy, ICANN's consensus policies, and the registry's terms for the domain's ending, which Name.com's Additional Registry Requirements set out. By buying a domain on Foundable you agree to them. If this Agreement conflicts with Name.com's Domain Name Registration Agreement, Name.com's agreement controls.

Some domains may require extra verification, may be blocked by the registrar, may be unavailable after a quote, or may have registry-specific requirements. Foundable does not sell a domain that carries a trademark claim. Foundable cannot guarantee a domain will be registered until the registrar confirms the registration.

Newly registered domains may be subject to a 60-day transfer lock or other registry transfer restrictions. During a lock, Foundable can keep managing the domain but may not be able to transfer it to another registrar.

6. DNS and content

You control the content, services, and DNS destinations you ask Foundable to configure. You are responsible for those destinations and for any records you request. We may refuse or remove records that violate law, third-party rights, platform policy, registrar policy, or the security of Foundable or other customers.

7. Transfers and release

We will provide reasonable support for transferring or releasing a held domain when your foundable is eligible, your account is in good standing, the domain is not locked or under dispute, and the request passes our security checks. We may require confirmation from a foundable owner or admin before starting a transfer or release.

8. Suspension and disputes

We may suspend DNS management, disable auto-renewal, lock changes, or decline transfer/release requests when needed to comply with law, registrar requirements, court orders, third-party disputes, security incidents, unpaid charges, or violations of the Terms or this Agreement.

9. Your rights as a registrant

ICANN's Registrants' Benefits and Responsibilities explains the rights and responsibilities that come with a domain registration.
